Chicago Day 45: Starved Rock State Park

Steph had a showcase at the dance studio this morning of his dance item for the San Francisco Bachata Festival. We were there from 11 a.m. as he had rehearsals first. The actual performance was at 1 p.m. that day. It was pretty memorable actually. Part of the programme actually included a surprised proposal from one of the instructors to his girlfriend.

We went to Starved Rock State Park thereafter. It's about a 2-hour drive away from the city and we took about 2 hours to cover the western part of the trail :) Here are some pictures from the hike!

We wanted to cover Starved Rock as well (it's the block of rocks on the left hand side of the picture) but we didn't have time to cover the eastern trail :P
